For those attending the 2024 Pokémon World Championships in person, there are a few surprises available to you. There’s a Pokémon Go Timed Research to grab for anyone who plays, with multiple encounter rewards.
This Timed Research is only available for those directly participating in the event. If you’re not there in person, you won’t receive this. You can earn several other Timed Research quests throughout the 2024 Pokémon World Championships event weekend, from Aug. 16 to 18 in Pokémon Go.
How to complete 2024 Pokémon World Championships Timed Research in Pokémon Go
The Timed Research was made available shortly before the opening ceremony of the 2024 Pokémon World Championships. For those at the event, you only have to open up your Pokémon Go application and log into the mobile game. After you’ve done that, the Timed Research will be available in your Today View tab on the bottom right of your screen.
The 2024 Pokémon World Championships Timed Research for the event have several tasks that require you to be there physically—here are specific locations you have to visit which you can only find while being there in person. They shouldn’t be too tricky to complete, but the rewards for finishing these tasks feature several notable encounters with a costumed Pokémon making its debut for the event. You’ll receive these tasks and rewards for completing it in Pokémon Go.
