Despite OpTic coming off of a better placing at CWL London, Gen.G jumped out to a quick 2-0 series lead, thanks to strong games by Chance “Maux” Moncivaez.

OpTic began their comeback with an Arsenal Control victory in which the offensive side won each round—a rare occurrence. OpTic then grabbed the second Hardpoint of the series, Frequency, by more than 100 points to tie the series.

In the last map, Frequency Search and Destroy, a complete team effort from OpTic was enough to overcome Gen.G in 10 rounds. The win marks OpTic’s eighth of the season and moves them into second place in Division B. Gen.G will stay in the top spot, but they now hold just a one-match lead over OpTic.

In the other match of the day, FaZe Clan quickly dispatched of UYU in Alex “Zaptius” Bonilla’s league debut. FaZe closed out the series in three consecutive games to even out their record at 6-6.
