Plenty to be excited for.

A big weekend in the world of Fortnite gave us a slew of announcements in partnership with Disney, bringing plenty of new content before the end of 2024.

Fortnite received special attention at Disney’s flagship D23 event, with a special presentation streamed live in the game. Those who watched the action for at least 10 minutes can claim a Peelverine Plush back bling, which remains available until the start of the new season.

If you missed any of the announcements or want a recap to refresh your memory, we’ve highlighted everything below.

All Disney D23 Fortnite announcements

The first Fortnite announcement from D23 was the addition of fan-favorite Disney Villains coming to the game in Fall 2024. Full details were not revealed, so we don’t know if there will be an event collab or whether the villains will be a part of the Fortnitemares event around Halloween, which was leaked in the 2024 roadmap.

The teaser provided a first look at three iconic villains that will become Fortnite skins: Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, and Maleficent.

The Incredibles

Pixar isn’t missing out on the fun either, as the first drop of Pixar characters in Fortnite will also take place in Fall 2024. Again, we don’t know the full details of the planned drop and whether there will be an event collab.

The Incredibles are the first Pixar characters to make their way into the world of Fortnite, with skins set to be available for Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, and Frozone. Just don’t lose your super suit.

Star Wars

Star Wars is well established in the world of Fortnite, most recently seeing a huge collab in May that included the addition of Star Wars assets into LEGO Fortnite, but the partnership is showing no signs of stopping—and new Star Wars items are coming to the Fortnite shop on Aug. 12.

New skins for Ig-11 and Moff Gideon from The Mandalorian series are coming to Fortnite, along with Grogu in the form of back bling.

Absolute Doom season

Perhaps the biggest news was saved for the end of the announcements, where it was confirmed that Marvel is again collaborating with Fortnite for an entire season. Absolute Doom kicks off on Aug. 16 and includes a slew of characters.

Doctor Doom, Gwenpool, Mysterio, Shuri, War Machine, and Emma Frost are getting new skins, while crossover skins include Captain Jonesy, Peelverine, and Meowcles as Sabertooth. There was also a tease of a Fishstick Deadpool skin.

The new season includes Marvel POIs in Fortnite’s battle royale modes along with new weapons, including War Machine armor, duel submachine guns, and more.
