Another day, another round of LoLdle—the daily minigame where you’re handed a random League of Legends champion quote and you’ve got to work out which champion said it. Finally, after a few weeks of easy rounds, we might have a tough one on our hands.

Here’s today’s clue and answer for the Aug. 3 LoLdle quote “Peace, no matter the cost.”

The LoLdle quote for Aug. 3 is, “Peace, no matter the cost.” The League champion who says this line is Karma.

What happens when a peaceful deity is tested with the threat of war and the annihilation of its people? That’s what Karma faced in League‘s lore: When Noxus invaded her homeland of Ionia, she was torn between two—to act in anger or show restraint.

She opted for the former, demolishing the Noxians in a battle, and in doing so disgraced those who came before her, which when adding today’s LoLdle quote for context, makes total sense. Connecting this to her was tough, however, as without prior knowledge of this lore, the quote could have been used by several League champs.

I initially picked Jayce and Galio, thinking much in the same way as Karma does in terms of sacrificing the greater good for triumph. Other champs I thought this could apply to include Akshan, Fizz, Garen, Leona, or Taliyah. Overall, a tough game of LoLdle today—about time, too!
