Rejoice, Warzone gamers. The game’s latest most OP gun has been nerfed in today’s update, now available for all platforms on July 30.
The Superi 46 has been dominating Warzone since it launched in Modern Warfare 3’s season four, and some changes made today may bring it in line with some other weapons. There are some other changes, too, like bug fixes and more, less than a week after season five began.
Read on below for everything that’s changing in today’s MW3 and Warzone patch.
MW3, Warzone patch notes today: July 30
The Superi 46 has been nerfed in Warzone, and it seems a bit overdue. Regardless, the change has been made and the powerful SMG should now feel a bit less oppressive. The changes to the SMG were a decrease to its max damage range (12.7 meters, down from 13.97) and its minimum damage of 25 now starts at 25.4 meters instead of 34.3.
Elsewhere, the COR-45 has been buffed in both MW3 and Warzone. Its rate of fire is increased to 450 rpm, up from 240 rpm, but a couple of trigger action attachments have also been changed to compensate.
In one of the minor but funny changes, the King Kong B.E.A.S.T. Glove blueprint now has heavy melee functionality. When using the heavy melee, there will now be a ragdoll effect, flinging enemies hilariously away to their death.
For now, that’s all that’s changed this week. The season five midseason update will likely begin toward the end of August, just before the Call of Duty Next event pulls back the curtain on what’s to come in Black Ops 6. A season six of MW3 is also likely to kick off sometime in September.
