Sledgehammer Games has added new weapon camos and various other cosmetic items for the Call of Duty World League Pro League teams to WWII on PlayStation 4.
Competitive fans have been clamoring for team camos for months now, and their prayers were finally answered today. Each CWL Pack costs 500 CoD Points and includes a team-related helmet, camo, calling card, emblem, and charm. Fans interested in purchasing a CWL Pack can do so by going to the Quartermaster in WWII and selecting one of the 16 available packs.
Although the new cosmetic items are welcome additions to the game and give competitive fans something new ahead of the CWL Championship, there are a few teams missing from the CWL Packs tab.
Stage Two of the CWL Pro League, which began a month and a half ago, saw two new organizations enter—Tainted Minds and compLexity Gaming—but they don’t have CWL Packs. Tainted Minds qualified through the relegation tournament, while compLexity acquired the majority of eRa Eternity’s former roster, which allowed them to take eRa’s CWL Pro League spot. Despite this, neither team has their own CWL Pack. Instead, Team Vitality, who were relegated after Stage One, have a CWL Pack.
While Sledgehammer likely has plans to add in Tainted Minds and compLexity team packs, it’s certainly not a great look to leave them out in the first place. It’s also strange to see these packs added to the game at the end of June, especially when the competitive season for WWII will conclude in less than two months.
In addition, you can’t purchase exactly 500 CoD Points in WWII—if you want one of these CWL Packs, you’ll either need to buy three sets of 200 points for $1.99 each, or you can get 1,100 CoD Points for $9.99.
