Is The First Descendant multiplayer?

Will you be walking alone?

When there’s looting and shooting involved in a game, many wonder about its multiplayer functions. This was also the case with The First Descendant, and the game’s free-to-play availability added more fuel to the mix.

While playing The First Descendant solo is an option, it can sometimes feel a bit solitary. With lots to do in the game, it pays to team up, especially when it comes to clearing Intercept Battles faster.

Can you play The First Descendant multiplayer?

Yes, The First Descendant is multiplayer, meaning you can play with your friends. If you don’t have a squad, the game’s matchmaking service will be your aid. Considering how many players The First Descendant has, finding a group is a relatively quick process.

A group in The First Descendant consists of four players, so you can have a maximum of three teammates.

Is there PvP in The First Descendant?

No, The First Descendant is a PvE title, meaning there is no PvP in the game. This means you can only battle bosses and NPC enemies alongside other players. Battling another player in The First Descendant isn’t possible at the moment.

While the addition of PvP elements toThe First Descendant isn’t currently on the horizon, there’s always a chance Nexon might consider it in the future. For now, the developer’s focus is on introducing new content such as dungeons and potential events.

If it ever happens, I’d expect a duel-like PvP mode where players can challenge each other. That would be easier to implement into the game and help players itch their PvP needs in a more arcade format.
