Super Mario Party Jamboree, the next release in the long-celebrated Mario Party series, is set to be the biggest one yet—and we’re here to tell you when it releases.

Super Mario Party Jamboree features five new game boards and the grand return of two boards, which debuted more than two decades ago on the Nintendo 64. The next entry in the series also introduces a new gameplay mode that will further ruin your friendships.

Super Mario Party Jamboree releases on Oct. 17, 2024, at midnight local time. The game and its release date were revealed during the June 18 Nintendo Direct showcase.

While Nintendo hasn’t explicitly confirmed the midnight local time release, Nintendo exclusives always launch at this time. This means you can start playing when the clock hits midnight in your region—with those in New Zealand getting to play first.

Super Mario Party Jamboree will launch with five new boards: Mega Wiggler’s Tree Party, King Bowser’s Keep, Roll ’em Raceway, Goomba Lagoon, and Rainbow Galleria. Two classics from the first two Mario Party games, Mario’s Rainbow Castle and Western Land, are also returning.

Nintendo claims there will be over 110 total minigames Super Mario Party Jamboree, but the highlight of the game’s reveal is the new 20-player battle-royale-like Koopathlon mode, where players compete for first place in chaotic minigames while circling a massive track. Nintendo also teased other new game modes.

Super Mario Party Jamboree should support online play for all modes, as online play has been a supported feature since the series arrived on Switch with Super Mario Party in 2018.

Super Mario Party Jamboree is coming to Nintendo Switch. This isn’t surprising, as Nintendo’s first-party releases tend always to be Switch exclusives. Whether the new Mario Party will also arrive on the Switch successor remains to be seen.
