League of Legends fans had already been given a heads-up that Aatrox will be getting some big changes on the Public Beta Environment, but David “Repertoir” Capurro has outlined the full changes today. The big adjustments to Aatrox’s ultimate and cooldown timings for his Q ability, The Darkin Blade, were highlighted.

Capurro, a lead designer at Riot Games, says that the update list for Aatrox was updated because “testing showed him to be a bit overtuned.” As a result, the team ended up nerfing some of his abilities and tuned some other aspects of his kit.

The new healing amplification on Aatrox’s ultimate, World Ender, has now been adjusted and now gives players 40/55/70 percent increased healing for the duration of the ability. Additionally, the cooldown on Aatrox’s Q now starts on the first cast of the ability, not at the end of the Q sequence.

Meanwhile, the rest of the changes are available for viewing. For example, Aatrox’s passive, Deathbringer Stance, will no longer reduce healing and shielding on enemy champions and will instead heal Aatrox for the bonus damage dealt.

For people who haven’t caught up, Aatrox’s ultimate is being drastically changed as well. World Ender is no longer a guaranteed revive, as Aatrox must now get a takedown while in World Ender form to earn the revive. Additionally, Aatrox gains 60/80/100 percent movement speed, which decays with time. Takedowns while in World Ender also extend the ultimate time by five seconds and refreshes the movement speed buff.
