How to quickly farm XP in Marvel Rivals

Practice makes perfect.

Just like in any multiplayer game, gaining XP in Marvel Rivals is important for a variety of reasons.

As you level up in Marvel Rivals, you gain access to new rewards, such as Competitive play at level 10, and more. Some missions and challenges also require earning XP, so it’s vital to know how to get XP quickly so you can focus on dominating as your favorite hero or villain.

If random teammates in Quick Match are getting in the way of your XP gains, there’s a way around that to help you earn XP quickly in Marvel Rivals.

If you queue for matches in Practice vs. AI, no matter what difficulty, you’ll earn the same amount of XP you would earn in Quick Match. With the exception of the daily or weekly missions that explicitly say you must play quick play, you can earn mission progress during AI practice matches as well.

Not only will practicing against AI get you warmed up or more familiar with the game as a whole, but you’ll also earn as much or even more XP than playing Quick Match. And it’s excellent for finishing daily missions, too, like ones that task you with getting final blows, healing damage, or anything in between.

Whether you play against AI or actual players, there are a handful of methods that will grant you more XP per match. While the specific formula for earning XP isn’t exact, getting kills, playing objectives, dealing lots of damage, providing healing, and winning all appear to contribute toward higher XP gains.

Damage and support heroes typically gain more XP as a whole since Duelists are more likely to get more kills, while Strategists will rack up more assists. And if you play against the base level AI, you can just sit outside of the bots’ spawn door and farm them for kills pretty easily.

The same XP gains can be found in Conquest mode. This is Marvel Rivals’ version of Team Deathmatch, so if you’re looking for a more casual mode where you can simply play the game with different heroes without worrying about an objective, this is the place to go.

XP gains are the same in regular Quick Match, too, so basically whichever mode you find the most fun and are most successful in will be the mode for you. But given how easy and quick matches can be, Practice vs. AI is the way to go.
