Atlanta Reign have been busy with player signings over the past week as the team gears up for the next stage of the Overwatch League. The team made one more addition to its roster today, signing Nathan “frd” Goebel from the Gladiators Legion ahead of stage two.

Frd started his Overwatch career in 2017. He then signed with Last Night’s Leftovers before moving to Second Wind to compete in the third season of the North American Overwatch Contenders division, where his team locked down a shared third-place. In early March, the tank player signed with the Gladiators Legion, the academy team of the Los Angeles Gladiators, before joining the Reign.

During the Overwatch League’s week-long break following the stage one playoffs, Atlanta Reign has made a few roster changes in preparation for stage two. Most notably, the Reign lost its star DPS players Daniel “Dafran” Francesca after he announced his retirement to focus on streaming.

The Atlanta-based team has since signed support player Daniel “FunnyAstro” Hathaway, who will compete for the Overwatch League team and its academy roster under a two-way contract, and DPS player Andrej “babybay” Francisty from San Francisco Shock.

Atlanta Reign will get the chance to try out their new roster when the team faces the Boston Uprising tomorrow for the second match of the day.
