World of Warcraft (WoW) Classic Season of Discovery caps players at level 25, which means much content past 25 is locked until phases two, three, and four are out.
PvP battlegrounds in WoW Classic work on a level bracketing system. This means players who are in one level bracket (for example, level 10 to 19, level 20 to 29, etc.) will only fight other players in that bracket. This is the case for battlegrounds such as Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin, and others.
During the first phase of WoW Classic Season of Discovery, Warsong Gulch is available to play through, with other battlegrounds—including Arathi Basin—set to be added in a later phase.
Is Arathi Basin battleground available in WoW Classic SoD phase one?
Arathi Basin is not available to play in the first phase of WoW Classic Season of Discovery, although it will be added to the game in a later phase. The level requirement to enter the Arathi Basin battleground has always been 20, so as long as you are at that level by the time the second phase of SoD launches, you’ll have access to Arathi Basin.
Will Arathi Basin launch in WoW Classic SoD phase two?
Once phase two of WoW SoD launches later this year, Arathi Basin will go live. You’ll be able to queue for the battleground at one of the Arathi Basin battlemasters in either a capital city or in the Arathi Highlands. Alliance players will be able to queue for the Arathi Basin battleground in the town of Refuge Pointe, while Horde players can find their base in Hammerfall.
Correction Jan. 5 11:56am CT: A previous version of this article said Arathi Basin was available to play through in the first phase of WoW SoD. That is incorrect. The battleground will be implemented in the second phase of the Season of Discovery. We regret this error.
