Mario Wonder: All Wonder Seeds and Purple Coin locations in Sproings in the Twilight Forest

There's levels to this.

In a world where the only thing visible is Mario’s eyes, finding those Purple Coins and Wonder Seeds in the Twilight Forest is tricky. But if anyone can do it in the darkness, it’s a gamer.

There are levels to Spriongs in the Twilight Forest. Literally. This Mario Wonder course switches around the landscape, characters, and placement of the Wonder Seed to really confuse Mario and his friends. The whole level feels like a Wonder Effect. But how do you get to those Purple Coins and where is that pesky Wonder Seed hiding in Spriongs in the Twilight Forest?

If you haven’t unlocked the Sproings in the Twilight Forest course in World One of Mario Wonder, you need to find the secret exit in Bulrush Express. This is one of the most frustrating courses in the game, taking a good 10 years off my lifespan. To find the gold exit, complete the course like normal. Before heading into the red pipe, however, use the elephant power-up that you obtained at the start of the level.

Once powered up with the strength of an elephant, break the blocks to the right of the red pipe exit (using Y). Head through this new path to find the gold pipe. Using this exit and landing on the flagpole unlocks the secret area of Pipe-Rock Plateau. Sproings in the Twilight Forest is now available to play.

Mario Wonder: How to 100 percent complete Sproings in the Twilight Forest

There are three Purple 10’Coins to find in Sproings in the Twilight Forest. Everything in sight is completely blacked out, making it hard to differentiate between accessible paths and blocked areas. You need to find two Wonder Seeds in this level. A Wonder Seed is always rewarded to players who complete the level. When you enter the Sproings in the Twilight Forest, look out for the Wonder Effect for the other Wonder Seed.

At the end of the Sproings course, there are three enemies that spring upwards to extend their bodies. You need to bounce off them to hit the very tip of the flagpole to get “Wonderful!” A green checkmark is unlocked upon finding all three Purple Coins, two Wonder Seeds, and hitting the top of the flag. Let’s dive into every location of the Purple Coins and Wonder Seeds to 100 percent complete this level.

Wonder Seed locations

The first Wonder Seed is hiding inside the Wonder Effect. The Wonder Effect transforms you into a tall and skinny form. Continue running to the right inside the Effect until you find two tall trees standing side by side on a platform. Stand in the center and crouch (use down on the d-pad). The Wonder Seed will drop into your field of view. Stand up straight (let go off down on the d-pad) and jump to reach the Seed. You need to do this quickly so that the Seed doesn’t disappear again.

The second Wonder Seed is unlocked simply by completing the course. You will get this in your first run-through so long as you interact with the level flagpole at the end of the level.

Purple Coin locations

The first Purple Coin is found close to the level entrance. Located just after the flying Koopa, interact with the blocks on either side of the Coin with Y. You must be in elephant form. This means that the characters Yoshi and Nabbit can’t help you complete this level. Break through the blocks until you clear the area to grab the first Purple Coin.

The route to the next Purple Coin is difficult to show in screenshots. You need to stand in the black pillar or tree located directly next to the Purple Coin. Inside the pillar, jump twice as if you were performing a wall bounce. The Wall-Climb Badge is not needed to make this jump. You will end up on the upper platform. From here, walk to the right and grab the second Purple Coin.

The last Purple Coin is inside the Wonder Effect. After transforming into a tall form, run to the right. The area following the screenshot holds multiple Wonder Effect Goomba heading your way. To deal with them, crouch below the platform in front of you as shown in the screenshot. Walk directly underneath the platform the enemies are walking over. Stop crouching to knock off the enemies and run to the end of this area. The final Purple Coin can be picked up here.

The enemies will ricochet off the platform directly above you, allowing you to jump up and continue moving to the right. Make sure that you avoid the remaining enemies after this and head to the end of the course after collecting every Purple Coin and Wonder Seed.
