How to get the Beledar’s Bounty food recipe in WoW The War Within

Beledar's Bounty is worth the wait.

WoW The War Within adds tons of tasty recipes to unlock for Khaz Algar Cooking, and Beledar’s Bounty is one of the best early food items you can get. Eating it grants you 469 of your highest secondary stat for one hour, and it’s vastly cheaper than alternative food with the same effect.

To get Recipe: Beledar’s Bounty in WoW The War Within, you need to complete the quest A Home Cooked Meal, which is part of the Striking Steel storyline.

First, speak with Aurelia Steelstrike in Mereldar at coordinates 41, 53 to get the quest Economical Request. You need to write a recommendation letter to reach out to the Earthen, which simply requires a series of dialog choices. After you’re done, hand in the quest to Aurelia, and she’ll have three more quests available:

  • A Batty Request
  • Does Anyone Like Wasps?
  • Regular Fiber

These quests only require you to kill enemies and gather plants, and they all take place in the same area—on the pinnacle around coordinates 60, 50. Doing all three quests takes just a few minutes. After you’re done, fly to Aurelia’s new location at 68.4, 44.6 to turn the quests in.

She gives you another quest, Underground Economics, which only requires you to interact with objects and speak to NPCs in the area.

After you turn in Underground Economics, you may be wondering why you aren’t given a follow-up quest. This is because you need to wait 24 hours before Aurelia appears again. She appears at the fountain in Mereldar, at coordinates 42.4, 55.0, a day after you completed the previous quest. Aurelia gives you two new quests: Spice Up Your Life and Eagle Eye, Eagle Die.

Tip: BIDE YOUR TIME

This is a time-gated quest chain. You must wait a full day after turning in Underground Economics before you can take the next quests in the chain, after which you get A Home Cooked Meal and Recipe: Beledar’s Bounty.

For these quests, you need to gather seven Light-Bathed Lotus Cuttings and five Eagle fillets, which won’t take long. After turning them in, Aurelia finally gives you the A Home Cooked Meal quest and asks you to have dinner with her family. After doing all this, you’ve earned it.

Upon completing A Home Cooked Meal, you get 500 Hallowfall Arathi reputation, 25 Resonance Crystals, and Recipe: Beledar’s Bounty (via Wowhead).
