VALORANT rank distribution (2025)

Stuck in Silver? You are certainly not alone. Here's the VALORANT rank distribution in 2025.

Rank distribution in VALORANT changes with every Act, as players strive to reach their dream Elo. As someone who spends hours queuing for competitive matches every day, you may wonder what the VALORANT rank distribution looks like as of Season V25, Act Five in 2025—here’s the answer to your query.

Ranked is a daunting endeavor for any player in any tactical shooter, and VALORANT is no exception. With thousands of active players aiming to reach the top of the ladder, the VALORANT rank distribution curve is the easiest way to understand where you belong in this bittersweet journey of wins and losses.

While developer Riot Games doesn’t release official information on rank population, a popular third-party tracking site, vstats.gg provides a rank distribution curve for the ongoing Act based on the accounts it tracks. Here’s what the VALORANT rank distribution is as of August 2025 (V25 Act Five and Patch 11.04)

What is the rank distribution in VALORANT?

Below is the image of VALORANT’s rank distribution a week into Season V25, Act Five, according to data tracked by vstats.gg.

Radiant~0.00%

While the percentage of Radiant players is always tiny, the reason it currently shows as zero is simply because the Act has just begun. So far, only a few hundred players from across the world have managed to cross the RR threshold for Radiant. This number will definitely grow as the Act progresses, though it’s still likely to remain under 0.1 percent.

Exploring the data further, we can see that most VALORANT players at the time of writing are stationed in the Silver rank at 23.08 percent. As far as individual ranks are concerned, Silver one has the most number of players at 9.31 percent, while Gold one at 8.27 percent and Silver two at 7.73 percent comes in second and third respectively.

Digging into the numbers, most VALORANT players right now sit in the Silver rank, making up 23.08 percent of the player base. Looking at individual tiers, Silver one holds the largest share at 9.31 percent, followed by Gold one at 8.27 percent and Silver two at 7.73 percent. So, if you’ve been stuck in Gold or below, which is otherwise known as the Elo hell, you’re certainly not alone.

Since vstats.gg’s data is based only on the number of players it could track, you may wonder if there’s any official graph for the VALORANT rank distribution in 2025. Unfortunately, Riot has only released the numbers once, showcasing the distribution back in the summer of 2021. Here’s the graph from back then:

As you can see, the current rank curve is much more evenly distributed. The top of the ranked distribution—Ascendant, Immortal, and Radiant—is noticeably low on players, which is expected in a title as competitive as VALORANT. That said, with age, the ranked grind is seemingly getting easier in the tac shooter, with players finding it easier to rank up, exactly what Riot wanted in the first place.

In a dev diary from August 2021, competitive designer Jon Walker relayed the team’s sentiment that there were too many players with lower ranks and not enough players with higher ranks. Their hopes for the future at that time were to reduce the number of players in Silver and move players to the ranks they belong in. While Silver is still the most-populated rank technically, players are managing to get past the Elo hell it was before. So, don’t lose hope and keep up the grind.

We’ll update this article with any changes to the VALORANT rank distribution in 2025.
