VALORANT players plagued with ‘VAN 84’ error as servers go down

VALORANT is down, I repeat, VALORANT is down.

VALORANT players are getting locked out of the servers after a “VAN 84” error code occurred, making it impossible to play the hero shooter.

It’s a bad time to be a VALORANT fan right now because the mysterious VAN 84 error code has popped up for every player to make an unwelcome comeback. Not only does no one know why it’s happening, but neither does the developer, as VALORANT is currently unavailable to play, and no updates have been offered yet.

The shooter’s Discord and socials are currently rife with speculation as to why this is happening. One of the possible reasons is due to an issue with the game’s anti-cheat software—Vanguard.

Usually a very reliable system, players are attributing the VAN 84 technical hitch to this. But there’s no concrete evidence to suggest this as everyone works to find a solution.

Furthermore, the Riot Client Hub and official server status page haven’t been updated to reflect the error. This is very much an out-of-the-blue, inconvenient, and inopportune scenario for VALORANT players seeking their usual FPS fix.

It’s not the first time the error has appeared, and if you are looking for some possible solutions, we have some possible VAN 84 error fixes and workarounds for Error 62 and VAN9005 if it ever comes to it.

This is a breaking news story with more details to follow. Updates will be added as soon as possible.
