Twitch streamer Jaryd “summit1g” Lazar has switched from Grand Theft Auto Roleplay to another game for the first time in over a month. Last night, he switched mid-stream to the sandbox survival game Miscreated after saying he didn’t “feel like doing anything today” in GTA RP.
Before yesterday’s stream, the last time summit1g streamed a game other than GTA RP was Sea of Thieves on March 8. Every time he went live on Twitch since then was to stream GTA RP exclusively.
Summit1g said he didn’t feel like doing a heist in the game either, which is when streamers get together to organize a big crime like characters Lang Buddha, Yung Dab and Pimp tried to do recently. He didn’t explain if he was frustrated with the game itself or if he had another reason for being demotivated.
Summit1g is joining a few other players in what seems to be a general disappointment with how roleplaying works with streamers in a few GTA RP servers lately. A police chief in NoPixel’s servers is quitting the main server due to his Twitch chat drama and toxicity toward his in-game decisions against famous streamers. “I just wanna stream and have a good time,” uhSnow said. “If you do something that the other side doesn’t like, it’s just like, you’re a cunt, you know? It’s like [the] streamer, the RPer, and the person are labeled as a piece of shit because of something that happens in a roleplay game.” He’s most likely just moving to a secondary NoPixel server with lesser-known players and streamers, though.
It’s unclear if summit1g is quitting GTA RP for good. Dot Esports has reached out to the streamer for comment.
