After dozens of matches over four regions, Rainbow Six fans now know what teams will collide in the quarterfinals of the Stage Nine finale in Milan.

Broadcasters Robert Flynn and Michael “KiXSTAr” Stockley drew names for the Milan finals seeding chart. Flynn picked randomly from first-seeded and second-seeded team pools to create the initial Milan finals bracket.

FaZe Clan vs. LeStream Esport was drawn, and it should be a balanced match given the similar nature of the teams’ records. The EU and LATAM divisions have shown completely different playstyles this season, however, which could mean the pick-and-ban process will be even more crucial than usual.

Immortals remained undefeated until the very last matchday of the LATAM division, when FaZe Clan knocked them into second place. With no matches between the loss and the quarterfinals, fans will have to wait to see what changes IMT deploys when they take on Evil Geniuses, North America’s top team. Immortals still holds a better record over Evil Geniuses, but the one loss may sting more than any EG has taken along the way.

DarkZero Esports will have arguably the hardest quarterfinals matchup going up against Team Empire. Empire, who holds the most points in all divisions at 32 points, may be the worst draw for DarkZero. Still, the match isn’t played on paper, and DarkZero has more than enough of a chance to take down Empire.

In a rare occurrence, Nora-Rengo will face off against their fellow APAC division team, Fnatic. With both APAC finalists clashing in the quarterfinal, the odds of seeing an APAC team make it all the way to the final are significantly lower.

It would be understandable if APAC fans were upset by this draw, since both teams worked hard to even get to the quarterfinal. Both broadcasters noted that while this situation is rare, it can happen due to the random nature of how R6 Pro League handles their bracket system.
