We’re finally figuring out what that melody is, Overwatch fans. From July 14 to July 27, Overwatch players can participate in Sigma’s Maestro Challenge to unlock an exclusive skin as well as an emote and player icons. Fans can also watch streams on Twitch to unlock bonus sprays for the music-themed challenge.
In addition to the challenge, Overwatch fans can officially acquire the Overwatch: Cities & Countries soundtrack on streaming services. The album, which was teased and released as an unlisted YouTube playlist earlier this week, can be accessed and downloaded on sites like Apple Music and Spotify. The new soundtrack includes remixes of load-in music for various maps in Overwatch.
As for Sigma’s Maestro Challenge, players will have to rack up nine wins in quick play, arcade, or competitive mode to unlock the exclusive Maestro Sigma skin. The new skin gives the notoriously music-obsessed tank a suit befitting a professional orchestra conductor, complete with flowing hair and sharp glasses. His armor is now wooden, modeled after a violin or cello, instead of standard chrome.
At three wins, players can unlock two new player icons to use on their Overwatch profiles. Sigma’s Maestro Challenge marks the first time that a character emote can be unlocked with wins. Six wins will give players a new emote for Sigma and nine wins grants them the exclusive skin.
This challenge also includes bonus sprays for watching Overwatch streams on Twitch. From July 14 to 27, watching any streamer who’s playing Overwatch will rack up hours of watch time that translate directly to rewards. Two hours of watch time earns one spray, four hours earns two sprays, and six hours of watch time earns three new sprays. Be sure to have your Battle.net account connected to your Twitch account to earn these rewards.
Sigma’s Maestro Challenge runs from July 14 to 27. Challenge skins are often unavailable after the specified time period has passed, so get those wins in before time is up.
