While much of Overwatch's competitive future is up in the air, Rivalcade has confirmed that they will be bringing back their Overwatch Rumble at the end of the month, from May 27 to 28.

The first eight teams invited to the event are LG Evil, CLG, Cloud9, Immortals, Evil Geniuses, Renegades, Rise Nation, and Selfless Gaming. With Rogue and Team EnVyUs out of the picture this month—they're competing at Overwatch APEX in South Korea—it's a good chance for one of these teams to step up, win some money, and further their reputaiton in the competitive scene.

In April, 16 teams competed for the $10,000 prize pool in Rivalcade's first ever Rumble. Rogue prevailed over EnVyUs in the finals before both teams left to Korea for season three of APEX.

LG Evil won the most recent online Overwatch tournament, CyberPowerPC's Extreme Gaming Series Spring Invitational, by defeating CLG in the finals. Both teams could meet up again in the Rumble, but Selfless, Immortals, and Cloud9 are all looking to live up to high expectations as well.

The remaining eight teams tournament can sign up for the open qualifier which takes place on May 26, and that has a $500 prize pool independent from the rest of the Rumble. The format for this month's Rumble has not been specified, but April's saw the teams competing in best-of-three games in a double elimination bracket until the grand finals, which was best-of-five.

The 16-team bracket in April awarded $6,000 to first place, $3,000 to second place, and $1,000 to third place. This month's event features a $5,000 prize pool. The final Overwatch Monthly Melee will also take place this month, from May 20 to 21.
