A sneak peek at new skins coming to Overwatch 2 as part of its collaboration with K-pop group Le Sserafim is enough to drive gamers into a frenzy.
A short teaser for the group’s upcoming music video, “Perfect Night,” revealed new footage of the collaboration today, and it includes quick looks at what could be the five new skins coming to the game as part of the crossover.
The song sounds catchy as heck, but gamers are most looking forward to the skins. In the video, the group can be seen hanging out and preparing in a dance studio, interspersed between quick footage of OW2 heroes in their new duds.
“One of the fastest growing K-pop groups on the planet, this fearless group of five (KIM CHAEWON, SAKURA, HUH YUNJIN, KAZUHA, and HONG EUNCHAE) bring their talents to Overwatch 2 this season,” Blizzard said in its announcement last week.
Seen in the video are new looks for Brigitte, D.Va, Tracer, Kiriko, and Sombra quickly speeding by on a motorcycle. The clips are lightning-quick, but full details about the skin and an upcoming in-game event will be revealed on Oct. 30.
The full music video for “Perfect Night” premieres on Oct. 26, ahead of an exclusive in-game event on Nov. 1 featuring Le Sserafim. The skins seen in the video will likely just be a part of whatever is included in the event.
OW2 has had several collaborations in its first year since launch, including special skins inspired by the anime One Punch Man, a special appearance by WWE wrestler John Cena, and skins inspired by another Blizzard game, Diablo 4, in the currently ongoing Halloween event.
The real life Le Sserafim will take the stage to perform at BlizzCon next weekend, where they are expected to showcase some of their own discography alongside “Perfect Night.”
Fans can look forward to potential performances of their hit songs like “Antifragile,” “Eve, Psyche & the Bluebeard’s Wife,” and “Fearless,” which have made a huge splash in the K-pop girl group scene since their debut last year.
The BlizzCon K-pop fun begins on Nov. 4.
