New Overwatch hero Ashe is now playable on the live server

PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players can try out Ashe and her companion B.O.B.

Ashe and her Big Omnic Butler—B.O.B.—are now available on Overwatch’s live server. PC players were first able to try out the new Overwatch hero on the game’s PTR, where she was added on Nov. 5. It’s been just over a week, and she’s already available for all players, including PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users that don’t have access to the test server.

“Ashe’s arsenal of weapons makes her a versatile offensive hero, capable of setting up the perfect situation to shoot down dangerous enemies from range or deal high area-of-effect burst damage to groups of heroes,” Blizzard wrote in the patch notes.

Ashe’s ultimate, B.O.B., adds a new element to Overwatch; he’s essentially a seventh team member called in to do battle alongside Ashe. Like any other member of a team, he can be nano-boosted, healed, and can contest points. We can’t wait to see the unique ways he’s used in competitive matches.

The Deadlock Gang leader was first introduced at BlizzCon 2018 as a character in McCree’s animated short Reunion. The damage-dealing hero’s high-impact performance impressed fans, who were even more excited when Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan announced her as the next playable hero. BlizzCon attendees were the first to try her out over the early November weekend.

Alongside Ashe, Blizzard also updated a few heroes, like Mercy, Reaper, Symmetra, and Roadhog. All tweaks are considered buffs, Roadhog’s being the largest and it targets the overall consistency of his abilities and weapons.
