Overwatch principal designer Geoff Goodman revealed the statistics for D.Va’s Micro Missiles on the Overwatch forum. Micro Missiles allow D.Va to send a “long salvo of small missiles that explode on impact, dealing damage in a small radius around them,” Goodman said earlier in the week.

Eighteen missiles will be shot out when the ability is activated, Goodman wrote today on the forum, with 11 shots being released per second. There’s eight damage for explosion, and four damage for impact, according to Goodman. D.Va’s Micro Missiles have a blast radius of 1.5 meters, and a cooldown of eight seconds.

Explosion damage from the missiles originate from the impact location and spreads outward. Impact damage is only applied if the projectile hits the target directly, instead of the floor next to a hero, Goodman said.

Using the ability won’t stop D.Va from moving, shooting, or using Defense Matrix, Goodman later added. Push the button and they just fire themselves. “The only thing that stops them is dying or being stunned,” Goodman said. Likewise, there is no spread. Each one just fires directly where the player was aiming when it was shot. But because they are shot individually, over time, they won’t all hit the same spot, unless a player doesn’t look away from the same spot at all.

“Obviously these are subject to change, and I am sure you guys will get a better feel for them when we get the PTR up,” Goodman wrote.

No timing details for the PTR patch have been announced.
