Flex tank player George “Hyped” Maganzini will no longer play with Immortals.
Immortals announced Hyped’s departure from the team on Oct. 11 in a blog post. Hyped has been a part of the Immortals roster since 2016. “Hyped is a respected player who brought a veteran savvy and presence to Immortals,” said general manager Nick Phan. “We thank him sincerely for his contributions and wish him well in future endeavors.”

Immortals has not announced who will replace Hyped. The full Overwatch League announcement will come the week of Oct. 24.
An ESPN report suggested that former Rogue players Benjamin “uNKOE” Chevasson and Terence “SoOn” Tarlier could join the Immortals’ Los Angeles–based team. At the time of the ESPN report, the players had reportedly only made verbal agreements with the team. Neither player is known for playing tanks, however: SoOn is known as a world-class Tracer, while uNKOE is a talented support.
Hyped’s future in Overwatch esports is unclear at this time. If he hasn’t been signed to an Overwatch League roster, he’ll have until Oct. 30, when the roster signing period ends, to find one.
Without Hyped, the Immortals roster includes DPS players Christopher “GrimReality” Schaefer and Brady “Agilities” Girardi, supports Park “KariV” Young Seo and Stefano “Verbo” Disalvo, tank Koo “Fate” Pan-Seung, and flex Lee “envy” Kang-Jae.
