The Florida-based Overwatch League team is called the Florida Mayhem. It should come as no surprise to see Overwatch’s master of mayhem, Junkrat, wearing the yellow and red of Florida Mayhem in the Nov. 2 announcement.

“Florida is an ebullient state full of dedicated, passionate, and hardworking people, values we share as a local company,” Misfits Gaming CEO Ben Spoont said in a statement. “We’re excited to stand out among the rest and come in with a bang after such strong performances throughout the duration of Overwatch Contenders. We aim to make Florida proud with our explosive (pun intended) playstyle.”

Here’s the roster.

  • Johan “CWoosH” Klingestedt — main tank
  • Tim “Manneten” Bylund — flex tank
  • Kevin “TviQ” Lindström — DPS
  • Andreas “Logix” Berghmans — hitscan
  • Sebastian “Zebbosai” Olsson — support
  • Aleksi “Zuppehw” Kuntsi — flex support
  • Vytis “Mineral” Lasaitis — head coach

Misfits apparently chose yellow because Florida is, after all, the sunshine state. The palm tree bomb signifies Florida Mayhem’s “future competitive impact,” according to the press release.

Florida Mayhem joins 10 other Overwatch League franchises that have already revealed official branding. The last team to be revealed is Kroenke Sports & Entertainment’s Los Angeles team.

Preseason exhibition matches begin Dec. 6, while the regular season starts Jan. 10 and continues through 2018. Games will be held at Blizzard Arena Los Angeles for the inaugural season and later move to home arenas for each respective team.
