Hours of practice and years of tournaments have seemingly taken their toll on Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng, who announced his break from competitive play earlier today. Whilst he is not leaving TSM and is only taking a hiatus, TSM will be looking to find a replacement until he comes back. As a result of this roster change, TSM will not be competing in Intel Extreme Masters Oakland later this month.
Seeing as the announcement of Doublelift’s break is so close to the IEM tournament, TSM have made it clear that they will be using the time to find a suitable ADC replacement. If he wants to take back his old spot when the Summer Split rolls around, however, Doublelift will need to compete again, meaning his time away from tournaments like IEM will need to be well spent.
The new roster for TSM is set to debut in the 2017 Spring Split, and TSM will be searching for a new ADC until then. They may even look towards the North American Scouting Grounds, where several Challenger-tier players will be showing the NA LCS teams what they can do. If you are a TSM fan, be sure to pay attention to this event from Nov. 13-19, as your new ADC may be amongst some of the players.
