In a recent stream, Stixxay confirmed that Counter Logic Gaming is set to miss out on IEM Gyeonggi. You can view the clip of the stream here where he goes onto say;
“My team is not going to IEM as far as I know. We decided not to go… no change of mind on that… everyone wants a break,” he said.
The announcement has caused a lot of stir in the community with many fans believing this might be the result of possible roster changes or other extreme measures and thoughts. For me, I can understand their logic (sorry, I could not resist) as they’ve had a very hectic season and another tournament off the back of a poor showing at Groups in Worlds 2016 would most likely not benefit the team in the long run.
Here’s hoping the guys have a good rest and come back strong next year in the NA LCS Spring Split 2017.
