Former G2 Esports VALORANT superstar Wassim “keloqz” Cista will be going to the Spanish organization Team Heretics and replacing Alhan “Jakexd” Meguenni, sources told Upcomer on Friday. In the last few weeks, G2 Esports have switched between having  Oscar “mixwell” Cañellas and keloqz on the roster as the main duelist/Jett player for the team. In most recent news, keloqz departed G2 Esports completely after fighting for his position with mixwell. Now, he is headed to Team Heretics with the hope of bringing them back up to their previous form in the early days of 2021. Keloqz signed with G2 Esports in June of 2021 and lead them to Masters: Berlin, where the team had a top-four placement. They were unable to secure a spot at Champions, but overall were a force to be reckoned with in Europe. However, at the end of 2021 keloqz was moved to the bench on G2 Esports’ VALORANT roster and stayed there for the first few weeks of the season. From Jan. 14 to Feb. 23 keloqz was the main Jett for the team and got them through the first matches of the VALORANT Champions Tour Stage 1 Challengers for EMEA.
Team Heretics start fresh with young talent
At just 18, keloqz is the perfect addition of young talent to any team. His aggressive playstyle on Jett can easily fit into any roster and improve that set of players. Like G2 Esports, Team Heretics were unable to make it to VALORANT Champions and have recently been struggling to compete in the VALORANT Regional Leagues. The team currently has a current record of 1-5 overall in the group stage. The addition of star talent like keloqz could be the start of a new journey for Team Heretics in their rise to greatness.
