A group of South Korean artists have collaborated in creating artwork that reimagines Overwatch heroes as characters straight out of a fantasy role-playing game.
The gorgeous, detailed art spans a number of Overwatch heroes, including Reaper, Mercy, D.Va, Reinhardt, Bastion, and Sombra—and it’s pretty amazing. Using design cues pulled from Overwatch’s hero roster, each is easily recognizable as an Overwatch character—just highly stylized toward the fantasy genre.
Instead of high tech weapons like rocket launches and machine guns, Overwatch Fantasia’s heroes wield large scythes and swords. Everyone’s got a lot more classically styled armor, too.
Something tells us we’re going to be seeing a lot of new Overwatch cosplay based off these designs. The full roster is available at the Overwatch Fantasia website.
