That’s not to say that things were always smooth for the Ukrainian side during the match. Fnatic started off the opening map, Overpass, with three straight round wins after taking the pistol round. Na`Vi gathered their composure for the first buy round however and went on to win five straight rounds, eliminating their early round deficit.

From there on, Aleksander “s1mple” Kostyliev and his team mates continued their streak of dominance ending the first half with a decisive 10-5 scoreline. The second half was equally as one-sided and Na`Vi closed out the first game of the series with a 16-6 victory.

Things quickly got out of hand for Na`Vi on the following map, Inferno. Considered to be one of Fnatic’s best maps historically, the Swedish roster put on an extremely convincing performance on the T-side. Winning round after round, the first half ended with a disheveled Na`Vi only picking up five rounds to Fnatic’s ten. Similar to the first map,the second half was once again a one-sided display of power from the winning side, as Fnatic picked up the remaining six rounds with little resistance.

The last map of the series, Mirage, started off in very even fashion, as neither team succeeded in stringing a substantial of rounds together. While Na`Vi ended the half with a 9-6 scoreline, Fnatic succeeded in picking up odd rounds for themselves, pushing for a more even scoreline than in the two previous maps.

Na`Vi kept on winning, however, and despite a ridiculous force buy from Fnatic on the second round of the half that brought down all members of the Ukrainian team, a miracle defuse for Na`Vi saw the squad string the first two rounds together. Securing them the first three rounds of the half. Fnatic did answer back, picking up two rounds following their first proper buy round, but Na`Vi held their own on the CT-side, and closed Fnatic out of the map with a 16-8 victory.

Now Na`Vi will await the winner of the day’s final game between Astralis and CLG.
