The return of superweeks

In the past, the LEC had several weeks in a split with three match days in a week. These weeks with an additional match day are known as superweeks. Each team in the LEC plays three best-of-one matches during these weekends, rather than the two matches they usually play. The reason for the return of the superweeks is the increase of flexibility in schedule for the Summer Split. If, due to COVID-19 or a different circumstance, a match day or week gets canceled, the matches are easier to reschedule. This split, there are two superweeks. The superweeks take place in both week 1 and week 8 of the 2020 LEC Summer Split.
