Immortals Gaming Club teams up with National MS Society for online fundraising

In a press release, Immortals Gaming Club (IGC) announced a partnership with the National MS Society, which will expand events like the Stream to End MS into a series of online, charity focused events. The National MS Society funds research and provides services to help those affected by multiple sclerosis, a disease with no cure that affects the central nervous system. The society launched the Stream to End MS in May 2020 after the COVID-19 pandemic upended the organization’s ability to hold in-person fundraising events, according to Associate Vice President of Emerging Events, Rachael Nuwash. She added that the partnership with IGC, which held multiple online events for major brands in 2020, will help take the National MS Society into “the future of fundraising.”  The two organizations will  stream a series of online tournaments and charity events across multiple game titles in 2021, with the stated goal of creating a fun and accessible experience and to help the National MS Society be more resilient going forward. IGC, which also had to shift its 2020 slate of planned according to the press release, in-person events into an online format, has experience working with brands that want to connect with the gaming community. “Immortals Gaming Club is proud to partner with The National MS Society,” said Jeff Kuprycz, Vice President of Events at IGC. “The pandemic halted in-person activities for charitable organizations almost overnight. IGC’s Events division is thrilled to create virtual fundraising opportunities for The National Multiple Sclerosis Society and assist the Society’s entrance into the rapidly growing gaming industry in 2021.”
