[Both Orgless and eX clinch a spot in the Halo Minor League]

Profiles:

Orgless:

Made up of “Eccentrik,” “PoseyxR,” “JR2” and “KuavoKenny,” this team consists of amateurs and semi-pros who have bounced around a few organizations and want to get back into a full league.

They wound up dominating this bracket, and will be an interesting group to see as the Halo Minor League starts up later this month.

So Orgless? Not for long. If an esports organization is smart, they’ll invest in the potential of this group of four.

eXcellence Gaming:

eXcellence is known for its Call of Duty team, but was especially huge in the Halo scene right around Halo 2: Anniversary.

There, this orgnaization had a super roster of Justin “iGotUrPistola” Deese, Aaron “Ace” Elam, Michael “StrongSide” Cavanaugh, and Eric “Snipedown” Wrona, but unfortunately, the roster disbanded shortly after they won the PAX Prime Showdown in 2014.

They’ve had a wealth of pros go through their ranks, but their current side now sees Coby “Swifty” Yamauchi leading a team of promising players such as Daffs,” who recently competed at HCS Orange County under “For Wade,” and SickStory,” a longtime journeyman who has been on a wealth of different organizations.

This is why we cover Halo.

My Top Three Favorite Team Names:

(Note: Actual organization names don’t count)

3. Nah Imagine – Throwback to me in the ninth grade, back in New York. This phrase is usually followed up by “facts, my guy” and “deadass.”

2. Servers Please Don’t Choke – *insert joke about Halo 5 servers here*

1. We Suck at Halo – At least they are brutally honest.

Do you think any of the runner-ups have a shot at the Halo Minor League in the second, and final, open qualifier next week?
