The SL i-League may have ended last week, but that doesn’t mean there is no more Counter-Strike: Global Offensive action with some sizable prize money on the line.
Featuring two top five teams in <a href="https://twitter.com/TeamVirtuspro" target="blank”>Virtus.Pro and Cloud9″ target=”blank”>Cloud9, the DreamHack Zowie Open Event will run from Sept. 16-18, and will bring seven of the best European sides and a C9 American side.
The groups for the tournament are as follows:
Group A
Group B
The tournament itself will be a two group set up, with teams facing off in a best-of-one series to start and having best-of-threes only in decider matches. The top two teams will advance to a single elimination, best-of-three playoff bracket.
$100,000 will be the prize pool for this event, and will be given out as seen here:
- 1st – $50,000
- 2nd – $20,000
- 3-4th – $10,000
- 5-6th – $3,000
- 7-8th – $2000
