Cloud9 has announced the transition of AD Carry Jesper “Zven” Svenningsen to the Academy roster and subsequently, the addition of Calvin “K1ng” Truong on the main lineup. The latest offseason roster change will also see Alfonso “Mithy” Aguirre Rodríguez replace Kim “Reignover” Yeu-jin as head coach while the latter deals with personal issues involving mental strain.

K1ng to Cloud9’s main roster, Zven in Academy
K1ng will join the Cloud9 League of Legends Championship Series roster in the bot lane after spending nearly two years on the Academy side. As a former player from the Oceanic region, where he competed for teams like Dire Wolves and MAMMOTH, the 23 year old does not take up an import slot. Zven will take his place in a “leadership position” Jack Entienne said in the update video. However, it is mentioned that the Danish player will be “fully intending to recapture the LCS starting position” in the future. “I am excited for the opportunity. Overall, not much will change. It is still the same four coaches, we are just reassigning our responsibilities and we will have a similar system as the one we had for MSI,” Mithy said, as the new head coach for Cloud9. “[Reignover] will just be more focused on specific jungle stuff. I understand that there are some big changes moving into the Summer Split, but we are confident that this is the best way for our team moving forward. Bear with them, support us, let’s see how we do.” Cloud9 will head into the 2021 LCS Summer Split on June 4 with the following roster:
- Top Laner – Ibrahim “Fudge” Allami
- Jungler – Robert “Blaber” Huang
- Mid Laner – Luka “Perkz” Perković
- Bot Laner – Calvin “K1ng” Truong
- Support – Philippe “Vulcan” Laflamme
The Cloud9 coaching staff will be the following:
- Head Coach – Alfonso “Mithy” Aguirre Rodríguez
- Assistant Coach – Kim “Reignover” Yeu-jin
- Position and Strategic Coach – Marius “Veigar v2” Aune
- Position and Strategic Coach – Maxwell “Max” Waldo
