Starting on Tuesday, Nov. 15, Riot is trying something a little different by adding 10 support champs to the free champion rotation (for a total of 20). The champs are:

  • Blitzcrank
  • Brand
  • Braum
  • Janna
  • Leona
  • Nami
  • Sona
  • Taric
  • Thresh
  • Zyra

Riot went on to say that, “these extra 10 supports will remain available for four weeks, while the rest of the rotation continues as normal. This is basically a little experiment to see if giving players free access to a broader pool of supports improves queue times.”

The introduction of more free champions is always a welcome sight and it will be interesting to see if Riot continues to focus on more lanes in the future. With over 150 champions in the game, it is nice to see Riot taking more from its large pool to give people a broader selection to try out as a whole.
