Team Coast appear to be rebuilding their roster following their exit from the League Championship Series Spring promotion tournament.
In recent scrims, Coast has fielded a roster that includes Christian “Cris” Rosales, Lucas “Santorin” Larsen, Ben “LOD” deMunck, Brandon “Mash” Phan and Nicolas “Gleeb” Haddad, a source with strong ties to the challenger scene confirmed to the Daily Dot.
Dropped from the scrim squads are the two little-known Korean players Coast acquired earlier this month, Yi “Miracle” Yong-woo and Park “Ringer” Sang-kyun.
The decision to add the two amateur Korean players, who had never played a professional match, puzzled fans and analysts. Now, after a dismal performance in the Spring promotion tournament, Yi and Park have been sent home, replaced with well-known North American Challenger players.
Coast’s last chance to qualify for the League Championship Series is a little over a month away at the LCS Expansion tournament starting on Nov. 15.
Team Coast did not respond to a request to comment at time of publication.
