Riot Games has extended its partnership with insurance and finance company State Farm until 2021. This means that the company will be a sponsor for the various League of Legends tournament held across the year, including the 2019 League of Legends World Championship, the All-Star Event, and the LoL College Championship.

State Farm joined the sponsor team of the North American LCS last year at the beginning of the 2018 Spring Split. It was also one of the first non-endemic brands to partner with the league. This also means that State Farm will be a sponsor of the 2021 World Championships, which will be held in North America for the first time since 2016.

As a result, State Farm will continue to be featured on the State Farm Analyst Desk, as well as segments like the Assist of the Week, I’m Helping, and Level-Up. It also provided cheerboards at live events for fans and is also the presenting sponsor for the LoL College Championship.

“This sponsorship has been extended earlier than anticipated as we are both eager to expand and build on our many fan-centric activities up through the 2021 League of Legends World Championship,” said Naz Aletaha, the Head of Esports Partnerships at Riot Games.

It is good to see that multiple companies are ready to invest in the future of League of Legends as an esport. Big-name sponsorships should only help the scene flourish.
