Origen is looking to add a part-time sports psychiatrist for the upcoming 2019 LVP Summer Split.

Origen’s Spanish-based team was relatively successful in the team’s 2019 Spring Split, going 12-6 during the regular season. They were able to beat Penguins in the second round of the playoffs but surprisingly fell to the sixth-seeded Splyce Vipers in the Finals.

Origen lost a tough series against an underdog team and although a part of it had to do with playstyle and execution, the mindset of the team might have changed throughout the series and affected their play.

Sports psychiatrists help prevent players and teams from losing focus and confidence in themselves. These specialists also calm players down, especially in high-stress situations. They help with team building, team morale and emotion management. Finally, sports psychiatrists also provide broader counseling and advice for any player that needs it, beyond just on-field performance.

Origen has the talent to become one of the best teams in Europe, and maybe a sports psychiatrist is what the team needs to get them there.
