After spending three years away from the North American League of Legends scene, Alberto “Crumbz” Rengifo is returning to the place where it all started for him. He will be joining the on-air talent of the LCS on the analyst desk starting with week seven of the Spring Split.
Crumbz last played in North America with Renegades back in 2016, helping them qualify for the NA LCS 2016 Summer Split. Unfortunately, the team was forced to sell their LCS spot due to multiple rule violations. As a result, Crumbz left the team and began frequently appearing on the LCS analyst desk that year.
More recently, Crumbz was on the analyst desk during the inaugural season of the Overwatch League. In fact, along with Crumbz, fellow LCK casters Erik “DoA” Lonnquist and Christopher “MonteCristo” Mykles migrated to the new esport in 2018 as well.
Crumbz helped analyze every game during the 2018 Overwatch League season, next to Josh “Sideshow” Wilkinson, Jonathan “Reinforce” Larsson, and Brennon “Bren” Hook. He was also an analyst during the playoffs and the All-Star Weekend.
It isn’t known whether he will be replacing current guest analyst, Hai Du Lam, but we do know that having former professional players join the desk has always added an extra level of knowledge that many fans can appreciate. Look out for him when the LCS begins Saturday at 4pm CT.
