A Priest spell is the newest card revealed from The Witchwood

Kripparrian introduced Hearthstone fans to Holy Water.

Popular Hearthstone streamer and personality Octavian “Kripparrian” Morosan revealed the newest The Witchwood card on his YouTube channel earlier today. This Rare spell can lead to some interesting combos and, as usual, a Priest copying your cards.

Holy Water is a five-mana Priest spell that deals four damage to a minion. The unique aspect of this card is that if the damage kills a minion, you can add a copy of it to your hand. Although five mana is a lot to pay for four damage, there aren’t many Priest spells that deal direct damage to a single minion. Holy Fire and Holy Smite are the only other Priest cards in Standard that do this, and Holy Water fits thematically with those two due to its name.

Holy Water can be used on either your opponent’s minions or your own, if you want another copy of a critical card in your deck. For instance, if you trade your minion down to a low life total, you can hit it with Holy Water and get another copy of that card in your hand.

You can also use it to clear a strong minion on your opponent’s side of the board and get that added to your hand for extra power in your deck. Despite its high mana cost, Holy Water can be a versatile card and players will have to decide if adding a minion to your hand justifies the card’s cost.

Ahead of The Witchwood’s reveal later this month, you can preorder a special package that includes 70 total card packs and a unique card back for $49.99.
