French organization Millenium will be the next League of Legends team to announce a roster overhaul. After Adrian “Kerp” Wetekam and Markus “Kottenx” Tingvall announced they would not re-sign their contracts with the team, it wasn’t clear what would happen to the rest of the squad.
Later today, the team plans to announce that the three remaining players on their roster— Kevin “Kev1n” Rubiszewski, Jakub “Creaton” Grzegorzewski and Alexander “Jree” Bergström—have signed new contracts. Two high-profile Korean players will fill out the rest of the squad as they look to improve their fortunes that saw them finish bottom of the table in the last split and face relegation play-offs.
The first is Cho “H0R0” Jae-hwan from SK Telecom T1 S. The jungler had already been linked with Supa Hot Crew and had even received a preliminary offer from the organization to replace their outgoing captain Matt “Impaler” Taylor. But the deal wasn’t taken any further.
Taking over mid lane duty will be Ryu “Ryu” Sang-ook. He formerly played as a jungler for the KT Rolster Bullets, but is an established mid lane talent in his own right.
Sources close to the organization said that everyone is “really excited” at the prospect of seeing the new team in action and that they feel the line-up can be “a contender for first place” this split.
The organization plan to reveal the new line-up this evening live on their French-language Millenium TV2 channel.
