Go for the high score?

Ever wanted to put your aiming skills to the test in Fortnite? On something other than another player? Well now you can thanks to a new mini-game added into the game earlier today— Skeet shooting.

Once reserved for the original Duck Hunt and movie scenes where rich antagonists foreshadow their evil schemes early on, skeet shooting can now be found in the world of Fortnite. Multiple locations across the map such as Loot Lake and Paradise Park have become new skeet shooting ranges for players to find and give a whirl. Anyone can walk up to the clay disc launching contraption, activate it, and shoot at the moving target to try and rack up a high score.

The game was first discovered by Reddit user Prohawk, who began a hunt to find other locations across the map to share with other players. The mini-game will ideally be available in Playground mode, which is expected to rejoin the game tomorrow as a Limited Time Mode alongside the option to create squads in the beleaguered sandbox mode.

Skeet shooting isn’t the only mini-game that players have access to in Fortnite. Players can also try out a game of basketball or golf on certain parts of the map using Season 5’s Toys. These Toys are emotes that players can earn in the Season 5 Battle Pass. Recent challenges have tested everyone’s hoop game, so even if they seem silly, these time-wasters may prove to be beneficial in the long haul.
