Fortnite servers are down for the 6.31 update. Game developer Epic Games announced yesterday that the servers would be down at 4 am CT for the scheduled 6.31 update to be released today.
They should stay down for an hour or so, if no huge issues are found during the game update.
Players who want to follow the development of today’s scheduled maintenance can check the Epic Games Public Status page or keep an eye out on Fortnite’s Twitter, where the company will let players know when they can join matches and test all the changes in 6.31.
The new Epic and Legendary Pump Shotguns will be available after the downtime. Epic teased the update writing, “Pump up your squad for the Legendary v6.31 update,” which was a pretty obvious hint.
Other changes will come after the servers are back up with 6.31. Epic adjusted the Legendary trap Mounted Turret to fix the hitboxes of players using it and reduce its spawn rate.
Fortnite’s 6.31 patch notes are out since the server downtime began.
