Apex Legends vs. Fortnite Player Count—which game has more players?

Its not even close.
This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

Apex Legends, the latest battle royale game on the market, has hit the ground running this past week with an impressive amount of players picking up the title around the world— but how does its player count hold up to the battle royale juggernaut, Fortnite: Battle Royale?

Apex Legends has reached an impressive 50 million players worldwide in just under a month. But that doesn’t really come close to the dominant amount of players that Fortnite has achieved.

As of November last year, when Epic Games last confirmed how many players it had, Fortnite had over 200 million registered players throughout all systems, including mobile and Nintendo Switch which Apex Legends is not on at the time of writing.

On top of that, Fortnite reportedly had over 8 million concurrent people playing the title at that time, four times more than Apex Legends’ two million mark, which it hit yesterday.

Of course, that is not taking away the impressive figures that Apex Legends has been able to hit in its first month on the market. The game currently has 50 million registered users and over 2 million concurrent players accessing the game in its first dew weeks.

It remains to be seen, however, if Apex can hold onto those numbers after the hype for the title dies down.
