As the playoffs started at The Bucharest Minor, the story of the previous days continued.

EHOME claimed the top seed in the playoffs by going undefeated (4-0) in the group stage. And in a rematch of the qualifiers that got them into the tournament, they showed Keen Gaming that their last meeting was a fluke.

It was a rather quick 2-0 in EHOME’s favor as they completely controlled game one and then managed to hold off Keen’s late-game comeback in game two. This puts EHOME at a tournament-best 6-0 as they move into the upper bracket finals, guaranteeing themselves at least a top three finish.

On the other side, we saw a rematch of the WePlay! Winter Madness Finals when Gambit Esports took on OG. Gambit absolutely tore OG apart in that series, and this meeting was even worse for the reigning International champions.

It was barely even a contest at all for Gambit, who finished game one off in 29 minutes before cutting that time down to 19 minutes in game two. They literally circled around an OG squad that looked completely outclassed in almost every aspect.

Gambit’s performance knocked OG down into the lower bracket and placed themselves squarely in the upper bracket finals, setting up a top seed showdown against EHOME.

Speaking of higher seeds and the lower bracket, Ninjas in Pyjamas put an end to an awful showing from Playmakers Esports as they trumped them 2-0 to move into the second round.

Meanwhile, Team Team pulled off the only upset of the playoffs thus far by knocking BOOM ID out of the tournament with a 2-1 victory. This match also included what many viewers and other players say is one of the weirdest endings they’ve ever seen.

NiP will face OG in the next round, while TT take on Keen to start day four of the event tomorrow at 2am CT.
