The Women’s Intel Challenge Katowice CS:GO Lineup Confirmed

Today, the Electronic Sports League (ESL) has announced the Intel Challenge Katowice 2016 Counter Strike: Global Offensive women-only tournament lineup.

This is the second year that The Intel Corporation and ESL will host the Intel Challenge as part of the Intel Extreme Masters Katowice women-only tournament, which will be held at the Spodek Arena. Eight Counter Strike: Global Offensive teams from around the world will be making their way to Katowice, Poland. These ladies will battling it out for the number one spot, as well as taking home the prize pool of $30,000 USD.

Now that the qualifiers are finally over, five teams have earned their spot and will take the stage with the three teams that were invited.

Here are the eight qualified teams:

  • EXERTUS (Europe)
  • doemouth (Europe)
  • Team Karma (North America)
  • Santos.Dexterity (Latin America)
  • Elysium (Asia)

The qualified teams will be joining the following invited teams at the competition in Katowice.

Here are the Invited teams:

  • WRTP (Europe)
  • Team ACER (Europe)
  • Counter Logic Gaming Red (North America)

The tournament will take place on March 4-6. The group stage matches will be played onsite, while the playoffs take place on the IEM Expo Stage on Sunday, March 6, and will be streamed live on ESL’s Twitch channel.
