Team Liquid could be acquiring Will “RUSH” Wierzba and Oscar “mixwell” Cañellas from OpTic Gaming, according to a report by Jarek “DeKay” Lewis.

There has been a great deal of talk about OpTic’s roster lately, as the team has seen players such as Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz leaving and Spencer “Hiko” Martin joining on a trial basis before also leaving the Green Wall. Now, RUSH and mixwell could reportedly be leaving OpTic to join stanislaw on Hiko’s old team.

DeKay reported that the possibility of RUSH and mixwell joining Liquid would send Jacob “Pimp” Winneche and Josh “jdm64” Marzano to OpTic. This move comes as a surprise since stanislaw left OpTic to join Liquid just two weeks ago. Perhaps, the situation was untenable for multiple members of the team, and after giving it time to work itself out, RUSH and mixwell no longer had the patience to put up with the issues any longer.

jdm and Pimp are not the people you would think of cutting on Team Liquid, though they share roles with RUSH and mixwell. Many pundits would suggest that either Jonathan “ELiGE” Jablonowski or Nick “nitr0” Cannela could be candidates to leave, but apparently, Liquid is replacing two players on what was believed to be an all-star lineup when it was created back in July.

What is also interesting to consider in this move is how Luis “Peacemaker” Tadeu will deal with these roster changes, as he has had some problems in the past with many different teams when it comes to the roster.
