You might’ve heard about the iconic Olofboost in CS:GO, but nothing can prepare you for this. The latest Counter-Strike 2 update allows players to reach even loftier heights—this time, by floating.
In typical fashion, Valve released a new CS2 update on Aug. 8 changing a few minor things. These small tweaks introduced a huge bug that allows players to float after boosting themselves on top of another player.
The bug was almost immediately shown off by numerous CS2 content creators, including Ozzny, who posted a clip on X. In the video, he jumps on top of another player, and when they both jump at the same time afterward, Oznny floats high into the air.
That’s not all. According to a player from Reddit, players who are high up in the air when using the bug can “shoot accurately,” which gives anyone using the glitch a major advantage.
At the time of writing, the bug seems to still be in the game. The developer hasn’t released a hotfix, according to the official CS2 X profile and the title’s blog. Hopefully, the developer fixes it as fast as possible, since it could theoretically ruin a lot of games.
Naturally, the community isn’t surprised to see Valve introduce another bug to CS2. Players quickly started cracking jokes about how the developer doesn’t care about the game, which fans argue is why these glitches exist in the first place.
“To be fair Valve has no way to test jump boosts when there’s only one dev working on CS2,” one player wrote on Reddit.
