ESL have announced another addition of ESL One tobe played out in New York’s very own Barclays Center, right in theheart of Brooklyn where the event will take place from October 1-2for $250,000.
The less than five year-old Barclays Center, home of theNHL’s New York Islanders and NBA’s Brooklyn Nets, will hold acapacity for 15,000+ passionate eSport fans from all over theworld. This is just the fourth event for Counter-Strike:Global Offensive in North America apart from MLGColumbus,IEM San Jose and DreamHack Austin. ESL One New York willfeature CS:GO for the first time in North America with eight of theworld’s best teams battling to claim $250,000 and title rights to”East Coast’s biggest esports event” champions.

The format for the tournament will begin with double eliminationgroup stage, followed by single elimination best of three matcheson the main stage. The standard for the event has been set to ahigh level of entertainment. The $250,000 tournament will beplayed in one of the biggest venues ever witnessed inCounter-Strike history. ESL will not only have Counter-Strike butrather a wide variety of side activities during event such assigning sessions with pro players, ESL Shop and virtualreality experience stations. ESL One New York aims to be a part ofthe most prestigious non-major tournament this year alongside SLi-league StarSeries, DreamHack Masters and many more.
